Geeky Deal of the Day - Maxtor 750 GB External Hard Drive
I’ve been shopping external hard drives for a while now. I bought one a while back, a HP My Book 500 GB, but *naturally* it was a bad drive and didn’t work. So today I am doing a super mega beauty geek deed and downloading videos that we taped in NYC during Fashion Week (yeah, I’m a couple weeks behind), and I am watching these videos chew up what remains of my laptop hard drive. Chomp Chomp.
So while my 38 minute long (oy) video interview of some of my favorite cosmetic artisans, 3 Custom Color Specialists, is downloading, I am shopping for a new external hard drive. I have found what looks like it might be great - its a great deal anyway.
Must have’s for me are size (size DOES matter, don’t let anyone tell you different!) - I must have at least 300 GB, would like 500 GB - price - I just cant spring a zillion dollars for a drive - and a 4 pin firewire port. Well, I did a little Googling this morning and found what seems to be a great deal on a Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus 750 GB (yeah!) External Hard Drive. $184.99 at Amazon. Sweet. So she is ordered up (or are external hard drives "he’s?"), will be here tomorrow. And I’m praying she isn’t finicky, as so many seem to be.
