Pantone Color Trends: Fall 2008

As I have mentioned previously, I have been a little ill over missing Spring 09 Fashion Week NYC.  But, the bright side of this picture is that really, we are just moving into Fall 2008.  This is the part where I bring back all the goodies from the shows last spring and we can talk about them in real context, as these are the current makeup/fashion/colors. 

The colors above are from Pantone for Fall 2008, and they are, from the top left:

Blue Iris, Royal Lilac, Shady Glade, Caribbean Sea, Aurora Red, Shitake, Withered Rose, Twilight Blue, Burnt Orange and Ochre.

To be honest, this is not my favorite palette.  I have spent a good amount of time (for me) in the stores this year looking for fall clothes, and my overall impression when looking, is – blech.  These colors are much more suited to the warm folks than to me, that is for sure.  But, I can take the Blue Iris, the Twilight Blue and the Royal Lilac, and go to town as a cool person.  That withered rose color makes me look like a cadaver.  /shudders  I hope your coloring is different than mine, and you think these colors are to die for!
