Ooh thanks for the info - the Canon site says 3X - here is the copy/paste:

The PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital ELPH camera is a refined and stylish 8.0 Megapixel camera with 3x Optical Zoom and Optical Image Stabilizer.

But if its 4x, all the better! Have a great day and thanks for taking the time to say hi!

I want it! I want it now! I have a Canon PowerShot SD400 and its been through so much, has only 5 Megapixels and a 3x zoom but it does the job. But I love pink! The camera you're featuring has a 4x optical zoom by the way, not a 3x.

I love this — I've used a Canon Ixus before and I would highly recommend it. It's fairly hardy and worked perfectly for three and a half years.
