just want to say I received my beautyfix last week and absolutely LOVE it. Have used everything already (the first night it arrived!) the quality for what you are paying is incredible and the variety is very fun (felt like a kid at chrismas :). luved it way better than testtube which seems to be getting a bit redundant.

it occurs to me that in the sample programs i've subscribed to, while getting a wide variety of products, have not seen an eye cream or an acne treatment in any of the offerings? Might be neat to offer those in the next fix. tx so much!!

Thanks Christina… I did call beautyfix and was told shipping to Hawaii is also $6.95 each quarter and subscribers can discontinue at any time. I did not inquire about the product sizes because Beautiful Makeup Search (10/9/08) listed the following:

Veedee - Im sorry, somehow I missed your comments above!

1. Amarte is brand new to the states, yes, it is a product from the Asian market. And really, from what I have seen, it is astounding and really different. I need to research the company more, Ill do that this coming week as I write about the product, so stay tuned.

2. If you would like to sign up for Beautyfix, just go on over there and sign up.

3. I am a test tube subscriber as well, and have been since the very first installment, and yes, I have felt the same as others. You betcha all of us beauty bloggers will make darned sure that there are great products involved.

4. Discontinue - I understand that you will have opportunity to pause your subscription and certainly to discontinue it as well - I assume that will be done right through the web site. I will check on this for you next week (when I’ll be in the offices) and get back to you.

5. Shipping and Handling appears to be $6.95 - at least it is to me here in TX. I’ll find out if that’s the case across the US - I’m sure shipping might be a little more to Canada and elsewhere. Stay tuned. And so sorry again that I missed your questions!!

Hey Cecilia - you are absolutely right - some of that is a little misleading on the site. I will say that they put the trial size Amarte Wonder Cream product in at the last minute, so I didn’t have a chance to see it or know anything about it until it showed up on the site, but especially with the MLab and Perricone, which are shown in their full size packaging in the images on the site, something needs to be noted that those are deluxe travel sizes. I have passed along your concerns, thanks so much for sharing them with me - and I will also follow up on your password request as well.

So, what do you think about the products in the Beautyfix themselves? I’ll set aside my pinkiness next week and get to reviewing them - some of them are quite innovative and I want to be sure you’re using them correctly to get the best benefit from them. Esp. the Amarte Aqua Veil and the Kronos. Nifty stuff - I hope you enjoy them! And really, thanks again - please feel more than free to feedback. Have a great weekend!

Oh I forgot to mention that perhaps you should include a bold statement of the product sizes. That way we can decide if we want to go ahead with the next shipment. That way we will know exactly what to expect.

Oh, and I still can’t log in. And the new password request doesn’t work. I did send an email about this via the beautyfix site.

I understand this is in Beta. That is why I am giving my input.

Just so folks know whet they are getting.

“7 out of the 9 products are full size.”

4 total of my products were trial sizes. Well, I did notice that any mention of sizes were removed from the site. But 2 products which are shown in full size are sent in trial size. Perhaps that is how I got 4 trail sizes vs 2?

Sensa is a 20 gram 15 day trial
Perricone is a 0.5 oz trial vs 1.7 oz full size
Amarte natural wonder Cream is 0.34 oz travel size/sample
Mlab anti aging cream is a 0.5 oz trial size vs 2.4 oz

I also wanted to ask… I’ve been reading that the quality of New Beauty’s test tube beauty program has declined (to quote one observation: “a lot of the tubes had full sized and rather expensive products but now it seems they have downgraded to sample sized products and not even good ones at that.”) and this has made a lot of subscribers unhappy. New Beauty’s sampling program is cheaper ($29.95 (plus $8.95 shipping and handling) per tube) than Beautyfix but the first Beautyfix installment seems to be really worth it. Will the beautyfix panel make sure that the value of each quarter’s package is maintained? If a member wishes to discontinue a Beautyfix subscription, what is the procedure?

Also, is there a shipping charge per quarter? Thanks!
