C.O. Bigelow for Breast Cancer Awareness: Cancer Vixen Survival Kit

Ok – back to the theme of the month – Breast Cancer Awareness!  Have I mentioned I love pink?  I think I probably have.  I readily admit I get suckered into the pink stuff hardcore – I got a beeeeutiful pink contact lens case with my Re-Nu cleaning solution (which was actually ON my shopping list the other day).  I did buy an extra bottle/case because it was pink.  I do hope they are doing good things with their profits, I could probably find out, but I’m so wrapped up in beauty these days I haven’t done so.

ANYWAY, on to the next fun pink product – this one is from the apothecary, C.O. Bigelow.  I never knew a thing about them until my friend Hsien mentioned them *oh so* long ago – and since then I have purchased some of their wares here and there, and they really are fantastic.  You know me, I usually go for the fancy, ignoring the more utilitarian things, but as I have found recently, that’s not really the best way to go.  I miss a lot of great stuff that way.

So for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, C.O. Bigelow have the Cancer Vixen Survival Kit:

This is a collection of their top selling products, with a hot pink makeover by cartoonist Marisa Acocella Marchetto (a breast cancer survivor too)!  Included in the kit is:

  • Lemon Cream Body Wash (1.7 oz.)
  • Lemon Body Cream (1.7 oz.)
  • Mentha Lip Tint in Pink Mint (0.5 oz.)
  • Mentha Foot Tingling Foot Cream (2 oz.)
  • Dr. Hiosous Quince Hand Lotion (2 oz.)

Fun, right?  The Cancer Vixen Survival Kit is a really reasonable $29.50, and is available in the C.O. Bigelow Apothecary stores, Bath & Body Works, and the C.O. Bigelow web site.  C. O. Bigelow is donating $250,000 this month to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  Good stuff.
