Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you all had a good one – I did, and its now 10pm, and the guilt from ignoring my blog for the last few days is beating down on me. So while Im exhausted (not from tryptophan, cause I didn’t eat one bite of turkey – prime rib instead – yum!), I just wanted to stop in real quick and say hi.
I am super thankful for so many things today – mostly for my family. My father in law is very ill with encephalopathy, and my husband and his two brothers have been so good taking care of him for the last couple of months. It has been tough around here, I’m telling you. I do have the best husband on the planet though, and watching him care for his father just makes him more endearing to me, if that is possible. My kids are in NYC today – went to the Macy’s parade – and I can’t. tell. you. how thankful I am that all was quiet in NYC today. My heart absolutely goes out to all the folks in India who are going through this terrorist nightmare. Why is there so much sheer evil in this world? I just do not understand. I am way thankful for my mom – thankful she is so beautiful, healthy and vibrant – I am so lucky to have her as my mom.
I am super thankful for all of you who have followed me over here to Christina Loves. I am not all that concerned about my numbers, but its been a tough year (well, few months anyway), and it helps me more than you know to see your shining faces here with me, so thank you for that. Thank you also for your comments, emails and encouragement – I really do love you dearly and hope to get to know you better this year.
I am very thankful that I have skillz. One of my favorite things to do is to mess with code and build new blogs. Im insane like that. But I have had the opportunity to help two of my friends out with their new blogs lately, and while its a time consuming endeavor, it is something I really love. So best wishes to the two of you (you know who you are), and if you (or any of you really) need help with your WordPress blogs/templates/whatever, don’t hesitate to ask. I will find the time to help.
I am working really closely with the beauty bloggers now, with my new job at Blush Media (of which Beautyfix is my first major project). I am amazingly grateful for the opportunity that Blush/Intelligent Beauty) has given me, and even more thankful to all of my beauty blogging friends – old and new – that have been so amazing to work with and are really making my new endeavors both fun and successful. So big thank you’s to all of you for that!
And, just so we can keep on the beauty theme here, man am I thankful for Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream. This is something that every person needs in their cabinet. When my skin gets super dry, like it is prone to do this time of year, and when I travel to dry climates, 8 Hour Cream fixes it over night – every time. I have had this funkadelic dryness under my nose for the last couple of weeks – not sure if my nose has been running more than usual and I have been wiping it more, or what – but I have nursed this strange dryness/irritation for a while now – mostly with Neosporin and moisturizer - and I remembered my 8 Hour Cream 2 nights ago, and it is all but perfect now. One more night and it’s going to be golden. So thanks Elizabeth Arden for all that you do, but especially for the classic 8 Hour Cream. It’s a lifesaver and a product that really should be in every family’s cabinet. And while you’re at it, get the 8 Hour Lip Protectant too. It is way better than Chapstick (or putting eye cream on your lips, like I am prone to do).
Again, I hope you had a fantastic day and while I might not be around much for the weekend, I will be back in full force on Monday, for sure. Enjoy your long weekend! xoxox

Oh trust me, Meltykiss IS amazing. It is worth the effort to find it!! Let me know what you think when you do. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
