Introduction to Redpoint and NOC-Out Cover Up Compact

Note:  This is an update to a post that I wrote last year.  Let it be disclosed now that I currently work for the company that owns Redpoint Cosmetics.  The NOC-Out Cover Up Compact is available in the first Beautyfix installment – we are working hard on Beautyfix 2, so if you want to get the first one, the time is now to sign up!!  Ok, carrying on back to Redpoint:

One of the brands that I was introduced to at the Total Beauty Blog Summit last spring was Redpoint Beauty Color Cosmetics.  They have been around for quite a little while, selling on their web site and on QVC, but, once again, my lack of TV watching has caused me to miss something good.

redpoint-noc_out_compact They gave us some very interesting introductory products for the line, my favorite of which is the NOC-Out Cover-Up Compact.  This is a great concealer product!  The compact contains 3 colors - a yellow based color to cover up redness (just apply a thin layer over red areas, rosacea, ect…), a peachy color that reduces the blue tones of bruising, age spots and veins, and a more natural color to conceal dark circles under the eye.  This is a creamy formula that you can easily apply with your fingers or with a concealer brush (yes, they sell very nice brushes too!).  It retails for $38, and is a great size that should last a mighty long time.  Another outstanding product that we received is their Airbrush Effects BlushWhip.  This is a super light cream/gel blush that comes in two colors - peachy and pinky.  I loved the blush – we got it in the peachy color, and I subsequently ordered it in the pink.  Gorgeous, super blendable, and just really nice.

After trying the samples they gave us, I ordered a few more products that caught my eye.  A couple of them I wasn’t fond of (the mascara and the Optic Effects pencil), but I really did love the Transformative Dual Foundation - this is a cream foundation that has two colors in the compact.  I LOVE it when makeup companies realize that we need more than one foundation color to achieve perfect results.  I ordered medium, and although it looked a hair dark on the web site, the color was perfect.  This is a super nice foundation.  As I have said before, I am really a mineral foundation kind of girl, but I do wear other foundations just for a change.  This one really is creamy and does a great job smoothing out the skin and even disguising fine lines and large pores.  The key with it is to blend it super well – use a brush or a sponge for sure.

Beyond the inherent usefulness of these products, you should also know that really every product I have looked at has “Age Management” ingredients.  Firming, moisturizing, line reducing - from the eye shadows all the way down to the foundations and concealers.  They have a try-me kit for $19 that you might think about trying as an introduction to the line as well.

My next Redpoint purchase is going to be the Smooth & Remove Airbrush Concealer – why?  Because it has had rave reviews, and one cannot have too much concealer, right?

One of the other really distinguishable things about these products are their packaging.  It is really lovely and *feels* top quality.  The compacts are easy to open (which is a huge pet peeve), and are gorgeously colored.  Do let me know if you are a Redpoint fan (or even if you’re not, Id love to hear that too) - and what your favorite products are.  I love love love discovering new lines and I’m having a ball with this one so far.

  1. Hi! I do have a couple of Redpoint cosmetic products, and absolutely love them! I am really keen to purchase more, but I am having a very hard time getting anyone to post to Australia. I have the hydo-boost firming powder, and the line minimiser is just wonderful. These products do what they say. I am very keen to get a hold of the crushed pearls!
