Christina Loves…PCA Skin Blemish Control Bar

pca-blemish-control-bar I have written about PCAskin many times in the past, but their Blemish Control Bar continues to be one of their products that I cannot live without.  Really, I do keep about 3-4 acne cleansers around and I switch back and forth between them and it really seems to help keep my skin from “getting used to” one particular cleanser.  Also, to me, the cleanser is one of the most important elements of an acne system – I don’t really feel that way about anti-aging systems so much.  So, this cleanser from PCA really always stays on the rotation for me.

One of the coolest things about this cleanser is the format it comes in.  It says it is a bar, but its kind of “a bar in a jar.”  And, whaddya know, that jar fits the head of my Clarisonic perfectly.  So I just have to swipe the Clarisonic brush right through it, and away we go.  No pouring out a gel onto my hands, wiping it on my face, washing it off my hands, THEN, finally, I’m ready to wash.  Anyhow, it works perfectly for my routine and saves me a step or two.  It also comes with a sponge that fits into the jar for storage for you folks who haven’t discovered the Clarisonic yet.  ;)

Besides all that, the product itself is fantastic.  I was first introduced to PCA via my doctor’s office.  They have products for whatever ails your skin, and naturally I am drawn first to the acne treatments.  But, above all of the different products for acne that PCA has, I keep repurchasing this one.  It doesn’t leave my skin tight and dry, but I feel like the foaming cleanser really does what it is supposed to do, which is wash all the acne making dirt out of my pores.

Here is the ingredient list:  Water/Aqua/Eau, Saponins, Vegetable Oil/Olus/Huile Végétale, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Lecithin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Euclayptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Tsuga Canadensis Oil.

And here is what PCA says about the product:  PCA Skin Blemish Control Bar heals acne breakouts and helps prevent scarring with a special blend of active keratin-softening agents. Sulfur and salicylic acid provide superior anti-bacterial action, keeping your skin free of prolonged blemishes. Also effective for overall body use for softer, cleaner skin.

You can buy this via Amazon for $33.95 – or for $34 with free shipping from Dermstore.

Also, remember the PCA skin phaze 9 purifying mask is available through the current Beautyfix.  It won’t be long before the next edition is coming out, so if you want to get the PCA, hurry on over there!  The purifying mask is an awesome mask, but those with sensitive skin have found it to be a little bit strong for them.  But for me, the ranch girl who fights acne – its fabulous.  ;)
